But what matters most is that the book wrapped up quite nicely. A world filled with dragons in the modern age fighting a long battle with the Order of St. I hated him for most of the series, but I still shed a tear for him on behalf of Ember. He sets them on a course that will help them build an army to wage against Talon and this particular help is something that Riley has been searching for for ages. George will be trying, as not all of them have made the transformation into believing that not all dragons are bloodthirsty monsters. Cobalt and his hatchlings are all together and safe for the moment but an anonymous tip lets Ember and Cobalt know that Talon has more plans at world domination in the works. Dat wil niet zeggen dat we zouden ontdekken dat er al die tijd draken onder ons waren.
Intense, bold characters that have evolved for this climatic ending of Talon. I don't know how I feel about Cobalt and Mist. Mist is okay, I guess. Really, the protagonists only really got a shot at Talon due to the Elder Wyrm's overconfidence, and everything wrapped up far neater than one would think possible. The actual quality of this series is just so far below what I'm used to reading at this point. I have enjoyed all of them, but knowing what will happen has made it predictable, and regrettably taken the thrill out of the story for me.
Learning about the differences and how they complement each other is a natural progression to respect and advancement. Updated June 19, 2017: It has a cover!!! Yes, everyone probably thinks Iron Fey when they think of Kagawa first and foremost, and with good reason, but I do feel like too many people are sleeping on Talon and sequels. I am honestly at a loss for words. Wow, Julie Kagawa actually managed to make me not totally hate Riley anymore. This wait better be worth it! While my feelings about the Talon Saga have been varied at best, it was nice to see that the series went out on a high note. I just love this series I can't believe it's the final book! Let me explain to you what the hell happened: I started reading the book and from the get-go I was hooked.
As the stakes are rising and the Elder Wyrm is declaring war, time is running out for the rogues and any dragon not affiliated with Talon. I mean the most intense romantic scene was the inserted scenes of cuddling between Garret and Ember. . With the Order of St. Even if we run, the organization will just hunt us down. Updated May 1, 2018 Inferno is exciting, emotional, gripping and amazing. I hope this book proves different.
Reading the book was like hiking up a massive hill, always going up and up and up and, finally, plummeting because there was a fucking abyss. Reading the book was like hiking up a massive hill, always going up and up and up and, finally, plummeting because there was a fucking abyss. Als wij hetzelfde zouden doen, als we allemaal die eerste stap naar acceptatie en begrip zouden zetten, zou de wereld een betere plek zijn. We show Talon that we will never accept their new world. While this might sound like I've hated the series, I actually love it and I'm looking forward to reading it. Dragons and a few of the members of St. That was metaphorical shit - and now for ordinary mortals: the story was absolutely awesome and thrilling and from a certain point on it was a total no-go.
A truly epic conclusion to a brilliant series. Will miss the Wes-Riley bromance and the characters. Ember, Garret and Riley have come incredibly far from the first book. That honestly made me the most happy because I liked Garret. I could probably break that record now, knowing how epically the whole series ends here. Classic young adult fantasy and enjoyable read. So, no voice overs covering the audio, and no face in the corner looking at a video game, a minuscule unnoticeable watermark, and absolutely no editing. To take her rightful place in the Talon organization, young dragon Ember Hill must prove she can hide her true nature and blend in with humans. I love all those characters and the world Kagawa has created here and I flew through the pages like flying on a dragon, the writing was amazing and the conclusion to the story was really great! What if dragons walked among us in human form? Ember Hill has learned a shocking truth about herself: she is the blood of the Elder Wyrm, the ancient dragon who leads Talon and who is on the verge of world domination.
She always falls in love with someone she shouldn't, and then there is some sort of death scare, which her love interest survives of course, and in the end she becomes some sort of ruler. This book is adventure after adventure from the beginning to the end. The one thing I'm left wondering is where was Ouroboros in the final chapters of the novel. George, the humans sworn to protect humanity from the dragon. Also, that epilogue was underwhelming as hell and left a lot to be desired but whatever. George destroyed, Ember Hill and her unlikely allies Riley and Garret are the only ones who can stand in the way of total world annihilation at the hands of the Elder Wyrm and the dragons of Talon. With the stakes rising and the Elder Wyrm declaring war, time is running out for the rogues and any dragon not allied with Talon.
